Single woman with 2 Teen-children looking for a new home for the retirement. that was my initial situation when I started my research for houses on the Costa del Sol at the beginning of 2018.
In just a few months, I travelled from Vienna to Competa 3 times with my daughters because this mountain village inspired us from the very first moment. the narrow streets, the white, the restaurants and the Spanish but still touched international spirit.
Taurus was the third place I ask for viewings... after receiving a lot of different information about the legitimacy of buildings and changes. As a woman, it's easy to be underestimated, but I've moved many times and we've already converted one house and built a new one. so I wasn't inexperienced. Taurus had put together 2 villas plus a finca for me and of course I already knew (after we had seen around 20 houses) what I wanted and what I didn't want. It's always a process.
What really got me was the way we were treated. Catherine had a good instinct, asked the right questions, didn't manipulate my answers and immediately gave me a very honest explanation of possible and, above all, impossible requirements such as conversions( re-constructions as an example).
When we arrived at my current finca, I wasn't so sure because of the last 1000 metres off road track whether it was a good idea, but the place immediately showed its strength.
Everything was built legally, which was important to me, and within minutes I realised, yes, this is it. Love at first sight.
Regarding the track I have to admit: after a couple of times driving here in the Campo, you get used to it immediately (what Catherine also promised).
From the acquisition to the presentation, the contract and everything else, to the Gestoria Sanchez in Nerja, it went great, I felt all my questions were taken seriously. and even now many years later, I am still happy about my decision and recommend Taurus, especially Catherine with full conviction.
