Daimalos

Daimalos is a small whitewashed village within the municipality of Arenas, province of Malaga, with less than 100 inhabitants. It is located about 1.5 kilometers from the main core of the town. The origin of the village seems to be an Arab farmhouse called Daymús or Daimuz, which, after the expulsion of the Moors in the Battle of Frigiliana in 1569, was almost deserted.

Locally Daimalos is known for the production of a delicious rich wine and is also home to The Fountain of Love, from Arab times, and La Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Constitución (church of cultural interest).
