Los Romanes is a charming village within the municipality of La Viñuela, province of Malaga, at an altitude of 490 metres and with great road access. It is located 45 kilometres from Malaga and 19 kilometres from the coastal town of Torre del Mar. It is located in a dramatic setting next to and overlooking Lake Vinuela.

The village boasts views of Lake Viñuela and La Maroma, with the majestic backdrop of Sierra Tejeda. There are many traditional whitewashed houses, some in the town and others outside, enjoying majestic views.

The village hosts three main annual, and many smaller, festivals. There are restaurants within walking distance / within a short drive from the village.
